Financial Executive Kim Eiring joins Port Blakely as CFO
Veteran business leader to direct company’s financial strategy
Seattle, Wash. – Port Blakely has announced that Kim Eiring has joined the family-owned company as Chief Financial Officer. She fills the position previously held by Jeff Cook, who retired at the end of 2021 after eight years as the company’s top financial executive.
Eiring comes to Port Blakely with three decades of experience as a senior financial leader. Most recently, she served as CFO at Mutual Materials, a fifth-generation, family-owned building products company based in the Pacific Northwest. She is a recognized big-picture strategic financial leader with expertise in vetting new ventures and acquisitions, operationalizing strategic initiatives, institutionalizing sound cash management practices, and guiding enterprise risk management.

In her career, Eiring has held the CFO or senior financial role at companies in sectors ranging from commercial fishing to technology startups and manufacturing, bringing a diverse set of skills and experiences to Port Blakely.

A dedicated community volunteer, Eiring is active in a wide range of organizations supporting children, with particular emphasis on the foster care system. These include serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), a board member for the Washington Association for Child Advocate Program, and as past president of Treehouse and Girls on the Run PS. She is also active in the Washington Women’s Foundation and the CFO Leadership Council. Kim is a Certified Public Accountant and alum of Deloitte, and a graduate of Seattle University where she earned both her BA in Accounting and Finance and a Masters in Nonprofit Leadership.
